To Tom Hancock, Henry Olliver, Tom McElroy, John Clark and Bill Tillery You. or a majority of you, are directed to set apart and assign to Mrs. Amanda E. Hightower either in property or money, a sufficiency from the estate of Jordan Hightower, deceased, for their support and maintenance for the space of twelve months from the date of this application to be estimated according to the circumstances and standing of the family previous to the death of the deceased, keeping in view also the solvency of the estate. You are also directed to set apart for the use of said family a sufficient amount of the household furniture of said estate. Provided, That the amount set apart shall in no event be less than the sum of one hundred dollars; and if it shall appear on appraisement of the estate that it does not exceed five hundred dollars, it shall be your duty to set apart the whole of said estate for the support and maintenance of the family of said deceased. And make due return of your actings and doings in the premises and a schedule of the property so set apart by you under your hand and seals, to me within thirty days from this date, together with this warrant. We swear that we will preform the duties of Appraisers to set apart a twelve month support to the family of Mrs. Amanda E. Hightower, deceased, to the best of our skill and ability. So help us God. Georgia, Pickens County To the Honorable Court of Ordinary of Said County We the undersigned appointed by the Honorable Ordinary of said County of Pickens to assess and set apart aq sum necessary for the support and maintenance of the widow and minor children of Jordan Hightower, deceased, for the space of twelve months, do report that we have assess and set apart the cash and other property as follows, which the said widow has selected to take, to wit: A certain parcel or tract lying and being in the 23rd District, 2nd Section of Pickens County, Georgia Lot Number 120 containing 160 acres more or less. Described as follows: Beginning at the rock corner at a poplar sapling the North West corner of original land lot Number 120 hence East to the North East Corner of said lot at a Post Oak stump and a rock, thence South to the South East corner of said lot to a rock corner, thence West to the South West corner of said lot at a rock corner, thence North to point of beginning: Said tract containing 160 acres more or less. The report of the appraisers
appointed to set apart to the widow and minor children
of Jordan Hightower the
provision allowed by law, being filed and read; and the Court being
satisfied that the same is in due form and properly made. It is
ordered that the usual citation issue as provided by law.

The return of the appraisers setting apart twelve months support to the family of Jordan Hightower, deceased, having been filed in my office, all persons concerned are cited to show cause by the 3rd day of August 1926 why said application for twelve months support should not be granted. This 3rd day July 1926. W. O. Westbrook, Ordinary Pickens Court of Ordinary Citation having been published once a week for four weeks calling on all persons concerned to show cause why the application Amanda E. Hightower, widow of Jordan Hightower, deceased, for twelve months support should not be granted; and no valid objection being made thereto.
