Welcome to my NELSON family page. I am descended from James M. (1789?-1869) and Sarah (Iddings) (1789-1853) Nelson; James was born in Pennsylvania, resided in Union Co, PA, moved to Mahoning (originally Trumbull), Hancock, and Wood Counties, OH; my branch married into the Crom family and moved to Clinton Co, Mich. where they married into the Beck, Cressman, and Bauerle families.

There are rumors that we're related to the Thomas Nelson who signed the Declaration of Independence, but nobody's been able to connect James to him :^( If you have any problems accessing anything, or any additions/corrections, let me know at rdbauerle@juno.com. Happy hunting!
