Ron Bauerle's Peterson Family Page
PETERSON Family Genealogical Research
(by Ron Bauerle)
Welcome to my PETERSON family page. I am descended from Daniel (>1780 - <1850)
and Priscilla (?) (1782 - >1850) Peterson who were born in New Jersey
and settled in
Knox Co. (later
Morrow Co, OH).
My branch of the family moved to
Clinton Co, MI
and married into the
Cressman and then the
Bauerle families.
If you have any problems accessing anything, or any additions/corrections,
let me know at
[email protected]. Happy hunting!
Contents of this page:
- A list of my Peterson ancestors and their spouses
- My Peterson Descendants List
with living persons info deleted per my
privacy policy.
- About my g4gf Daniel Peterson I know next to nothing, other than that
a Daniel Peterson in the 1830 Knox Co, OH census had 5 sons in addition to
him and his wife, but he presumably died before the 1850 census that shows
his wife Priscilla with their son Hiram (by this time Franklin Township
ended up in Morrow Co, OH when it was created); an
1857 Atlas of Franklin Township presumably shows Hiram's and Westley's
farms before Westley moved to MI in 1869.
- A map of Sections 19, 20, 29, and 30
of Essex Twp, Clinton Co, MI in 1875, showing the relative positions of the
Peterson, Bancroft, and Ocobock farms.
Section 20 is two miles south of Maple Rapids. Notice how much things
had changed by 1896.
- Obituaries for my g3gf Westley Peterson
and my g3gm Sally McDonough,
and their gravesite.
- Some biographical information on my great-great-grandfather
[Elnathon] Corrington Gabot Peterson who married Amelia Alice Bancroft,
and their gravesite.
- My great-grandparents
Edmund Almond Cressman's & Nellie Amelia (Peterson)'s grave in Mt. Rest Cem.,
St. Johns, MI (as are the above two).

Suggest you search for specific locations or related surnames, but I didn't
find any matches to Morrow or Knox :^(
