Linville Family

Nancy Ann or Ann Nancy Linville, {wife of George Boone} was born in 1744 in Virginia, died 28 March 1814 I Shelby County, Kentucky.

Both she and George are buried in the old "Boone-Harris Burying Ground", a few miles from Richmond, Madison Kentucky. The graveyard was destroyed a number of years ago and all the stones removed by the owner of the farm.

Nancy Ann was the daughter of William Linville and Ellender {Elinor} Bryan, daughter of Morgan Bryan and Martha Strode.

William Linville was born circa 1710 and died in 1766 in North Carolina. Indians killed him and a son while hunting. He was the son of:

John Linville, born circa 1680 in Sussex, England, and his death date is unknown. He died in Pa. Married about 1704/06 in Pa., to Ann {last name unknown}

John Linville was the son of:

Richard Linville, born about 1650 in Sussex, England. Married Mary??? Ca 1670 in England. She was born 24 August 1653 in Maresfield Parish, Sussex, England

They were the parents of:

1.Thomas Linville, born 09 December 1679, England, married Dinah Richards,09 Feb. 1712/13 [OT]

Richard Linville was the son of Thomas Linville, born circa 1628 in England. Married to Elizabeth Wickersham 25 May 1648 in England. She was born in Fletchng Parish, Sussex, England. [daughter of Richard Wickersham and Elizabeth Evans}

Richard Linville was the son of Edward Linville, born circa 1596 in England, who married Jane Pace 1616 in England. She was born in Buxted, England.
