The Association has members from more than several branches of the Boone Family. It started as the descendants of John Linville Boone [ son of Geo. and Nancy Linville Boone] and Mary "Polly" Morris and has expanded to include all branches of the Boone Family.

Membership in the Association is $5.00 yearly and includes a quarterly newsletter.

The Cal-Mont Association was responsible for the clean up and "restoration" of the grave stones at the Simpson-Boone Cemetery in Callaway County, the last resting place of Captain Samuel Boone and was given a Certifcate of Appreciation from the Kingdom of Callaway History Society for saving this historical Cemetery.

The Cal-Mont Association grew out of a Boone Family Reunion organized 25 years by Dorothy Boone Graham of Kansas City and her uncle, Herman Boone of Fulton, Missouri. Dorothy was the historian and editor of the Cal-Mont News until her health would not permit her to continue as editor. The current editor is also the President of the Assn., Bessie Weeks. Bessie and her three sons, Ronald, Floyd and Lloyd have been ardent "keepers of the flame" for the Association in many ways. Serving in all capacities and working tirelessly for the Association. Bessie is a dual Boone descendant through Daniel and Rebecca and his brother George Boone and wife, Nancy Linville.

Election of new officers for the next year will also be held at this meeting.

Come prepared to stay the day and have a great time. Bring your family lineage, pictures, scrapbooks and family mementos to share with others.
