THE REISINGER-RISINGER FAMILY
REISINGER is the
original German spelling for our family surname-although it seems that, for the
most part, the Northern branch stuck with the original spelling and the
Southern branch simplified it to Risinger. We also find numerous other
spellings from RISNER to REISSINGER.
Once upon a time back in 1997, a couple of Risinger descendants exchanged e-mail messages and discovered that they lived relatively close together. Each had had a few other contacts with Risinger researchers, so they combined their e-mail lists and went looking for other Risinger descendants. The Reisinger-Risinger list was born. After a time we decided to pool our information on a web page to make it accessible to all researchers. One of the things we would like to do is to collect original source documents and pictures.
