Obituary for Bertha Pause Schippert

Atwood, KS September 8, 1966

Bertha Pause was born to Emil and Carolina Pause on July 29, 1894 in Harlan County, Nebraska. On April 5, 1914 she was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. On December 26, 1914 she was united into marriage to John Schippert. They resided in Nebraska until 1916 at which time they came to Rawlins County, Kansas to make their home. To this union was born six children, Paul of Goodland, Mable Foulk of Hermiston, Oregon, Lloyd of Great Bend, Ernest of Atwood, Everett of Beardsley, and Leo of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bertha Pause Schippert departed this life on August 30th at the Rawlins County Hospital. She leave to mourn her husband John, her six children, four daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
