Mr. John Schippert, the son of William Schippert and Christina nee Keubbler, was born on January 12, 1889, in Harlan County, Nebraska. On December 26, 1914, he was joined in marriage to Bertha Pause at Alma, Nebraska. To this marriage five sons and one daughter were born. Mr. Schippert had lived for the past fifty years in the vicinity of Atwood, Kansas.
On Tuesday morning, September 13, 1966, God called his redeemed soul home to Himself in heaven at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Mr. Schippert was preceded in death by his wife, on August 30, 1966.
He is survived by his five sons: Paul, Goodland, KS.; Lloyd, Great Bend, KS.; Ernest, Atwood, Ks.; Everett, Beardsley, Ks.; and Leo, Lincoln, Neb. And by his daughter, Mrs. Mabel Foulk of Hermiston, Ore.; by one brother, Eugene of Republican, Neb. And two sisters: Mrs. Emma Williams, Alma, Neb. and Mrs. Ella Savely, Republican City, Neb. and by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and by nieces and nephews.
Bless are the dead which die in the Lord. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them.
