Mrs. Retha C. Matteson, 71, wife of H. Stanley Matteson of Adams, N.Y., died June 1, 1977 in the House of Good Samaritan. Watertown, NY. Funeral services were held at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home. Belleville, with Rev. Miles L. Hutchinson, officiating. Services conducted by Order of the Eastern Star were held on Friday, June 3 at 8:30 p.m. Burial was in the Adams Rural Cemetery, Saturday, June 4,1977. Surviving besides her husband are five sons, Donald Case of Woodland. Me., Ronald L. Case of Cayuga. NY., Gordon Case of Terre Haute. Ind.. William Case of Henderson, Allan Case of Red Creek, and Roy S. Matteson of Philadelphia. NY.; two sisters; three brothers; 32 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
