MRS. MARY HUNTING CLARKDIES NEAR BELLEVILLE, AGED 94 YEARS. Bellevlle.�May 10�Mrs. Mary Hunting Clark, who died at the home of her son, Rollln Clark, near Bellevillle. Friday afternoon, May Mrs. Clark waa born July 30. 1828. In her early womanhood she taught scbool for $1 per week, boarding around with the neighbors. She was married to Horace Clark about 1847 aad began her life work on tbe farm where her son Gaylord J. Clark now lives. After Mr. Clark's death she remained with her son at the old homeatead, but for the past 30 years has lived with her son, Rollin W. Clark. Mrs. Clark united with tbe Baptist church la 1847 and was a devoted member. Her funeral waa held in the Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Rev. J .L. Deusler officiated and Mrs. W. A. Mather xang two hymns. She is survived by five children, three sons, G. E., G. J. and R. W. Clark. Mrs. Etta Waits of Wenatchee, Wash., aad Mrs. John B. Ely of Belleville, beside many grandchildren and other relatives. She was buried in Woodside cemetery after a long and useful life. 4. was nearly 95 years of age. Mrs. Clark was born on a farm near Roberts Corners now owned by W. A. Mather. Her father and mother Ezekiel and Rebecca Hunting, were pioneers from Nelson, N. Y. Mr. Hunting was a founder of Union academy and a firm supporter of the school during his life. |
