•  Early Benedict Family Records Found

We are pleased to announce the discovery and publication of many new and important records in England relating to the immediate family of Thomas Benedict, the immigrant to America.

Carefully scrutinizing many parish registers for a number of towns just south of Norwich, Norfolk, England (including Stratton St Michael and Stratton St Mary (Long Stratton), Shottesham, Tharston, all in Norfolk), Larue Olsen, Benedict Family Researcher, has found elusive birth and marriage records for Thomas's grandparents, parents and brother; and Thomas's baptismal record, as well as birth records for his father's sisters (daughters of Thomas's grandfather, George).

Larue's article presenting this information on the early English origins of Thomas Benedict's family was published in The Connecticut Nutmegger, the journal of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, for December 2006.
