Welcome to the home page of the Little Benonie Thompson family of Rusk County Texas. Some have asked why start with Little Benonie rather than his great great grandfather, Amos Thompson. The answer is simple - we can fully document Little Benonie's birth, life, service in the Confederacy and his death. We believe Amos is his ancestor but we do not have documented proof. So, we start with Little Benonie and explore every facet of his pedigree and his offspring. This site is dedicated to Lerlene Stokely who has devoted a number of years to researching the Thompson family. Mrs. Stokely has been very generous in sharing her information with all of us. We are searching for additional Thompson Family information.
