This site is dedicated to my wife, Linda, and her sister, Barbara (Bobbie) whose interests in their family history helped get me started in my quest to unravel and document their immediate as well as remote family ties. This family has it roots in the small farms of east Tennessee, and the coal mines of Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Due to the nature of their occupations, most of the family had little education or money, but they apparently were hard working and lived hard lives. Only with the generation of my wife and her sister, was a college education possible. These pages are a work in progress, especially that of the lineage of Robert Miller of Roane Co., Tennessee. Additions and/or corrections are invited. |
