Family lines covered in this web-project

Bullock - Marsalis - Allen - Sullivan - Patton - Forrest

Project Abstract

WHO ARE WE?

Our "Bullock" family line extends from the emigration of Pieter and Elizabeth Marcelisse from Beest, Holland on May 9, 1661. After seven generations, Martha Ann Marsalis married Edward G. Bullock in Mississippi on Nov. 30, 1854 giving birth to my great-grandfather Edward J., whom sequentially married Mattie Pearl Allen, daughter of John Wesley Allen and Zias Ella Davis, on Aug. 8, 1881 in Kosse, Limestone County, Texas.

I have no information of Edward G. Bullock's parents or whether he had any siblings. Edward died in the Civil War after which Martha Ann married Thomas Jefferson Forrest around 1865, hence the connection to the Forrest family line.

My goal is to establish the lineage of Edward G. Bullock in hopes of discovering where he came from and if there are long "lost" cousins that can be found. Much of this information was initially researched and passed on to me by my late Uncle Norman Bullock and my "fourth cousin once removed" Lacy L. Forrest, Jr. Most recently by second cousin Robert Barton has been of great help and support in adding and updating information to our family history.

If you have information to share and would like to have if added to this project or you see information that is inaccurate, please contact me at [email protected].
