Susannah was born to John M. & Catherine A. Blondel, in 1821 at
Baltimore,
Maryland. She married George W. Hoomes. Their children
were Mary R.,

The photograph above is of the entrance to the "Old Mansion"
This is the estate where the history of horse racing began in the
United States. The Hoomes family were the first people in North
America
to entertain and host official horse racing. The cultivated shrubs
record the date the mansion was built: "1669"
