George Washington Larner and Amelia Ada Hutcheon
George Washington Larner and Amelia Ada Hutcheon

All of the photos and documents on this page were among the personal effects
of my maternal grandmother, Ella Faye (Asbury) Larner, wife of Walter Scott Larner
and daughter-in-law of George and Amelia (Hutcheon) Larner. After my grandmother
passed away in 1989 my mother, Anne (Larner) Couch kept them in a box.
Unfortunately, I was not aware of their existence until several years
after my mother passed away in 1994.
The documents and photos in that box were the inspiration I needed to (finally) begin my "roots quest"...

George Washington Larner in Photo of
an unknown situation (may have something to do with Customs and Immigration, George's occupation, or maybe a mason's membership). Taken in New Whatcom (modern day Bellingham), Washington, probably mid- to late- 1890's.  Names were handwritten on back.
Front Row, l to r: Jimmy Meikle & Ed Brieg;
Back row l to r: George Larner, H. Woodin, F. Woodin.

Again, I don't know the setting or reason for this photo and only George's name was written on the back,
but the same five men in the photo above are in this one.  3rd from left is Jimmy Meikle, 7th from left is
George W. Larner and then (left to right) F. Woodin, Ed Brieg and H. Woodin (furthest to the right)...

Amelia Ada "Millie" Hutcheon.  Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Nov. 24, 1877 to George Hutcheon and Jane Gall.  Died Feb. 26, 1938 in Wenatchee, Washington.  Date and place of photo unknown - possibly for Walter Scott Larner's marriage to Ella Faye Asbury, May 4, 1927...
Several Photos on one sheet - similar to those from a photo booth, but I doubt such a thing existed in 1904, or so when these would have been taken.  Younger son (that hat and haircut makes him look kind of like a girl) is John H. Larner (born Oct. 6, 1902).  Older son is Walter Scott Larner (born Feb. 27, 1899). Mother is Amelia at abt. 27.
