Bolton Genealogy

List of employees at Halliwell Bleachworks, compiled in 1857 by J H Ainsworth, in response to a Parliamentary Commission looking into hours and conditions worked by Women and Boys in his bleachworks. (Only one third of the workforce are recorded here - unfortunately the rest has not survived the passage of time)
