pages 3-10, the artical "Robert Jackson's Wives and Children," by Harry
Macy,
Jr. states that there is absolutely no evidence that Agnes Washburn
ever
existed. The name Agnes Washburn was actually a composite of two of
his wives, Agnes
Puddington (a widow), and ____ Washburn, daughter of William Washburn.
He
also married an unknown woman. His children were from two of these
marriages.

Island in
about 1683. He married first, unknown, probably in England, who died
at
Hempstead. Second, at Hempstead in about 1650-53, ____WASHBURN, born at
Bengeworth,
worcestershire, England, died Hempstead in about 1656. Third, about 10
April
1660, Agnes ( ) PUDDINGTON, widow of Robert PUDDINGTON, born about
1615,
probably in Devonshire, England, died after 1683.
