Trewithian. This estate belonged to a family of the same name. Isabella daughter of William de Trewythian married Regnald Wolvedon (of Golden in Probus)and a full century later - Floricia daughter and heiries of another Tho: de Trewithian - by the last of her line - [?]clared in 1450 her lands to her 3rd cousin and heir Robert Wolvedon [VII 50]. He held Trewithian, Talcarn, Treveer, Tregargus and Goynvean in 1480 [I 8]. In 1526 John WOlvedon's lands were divided between his two sons-in-law and to Nichs. Casminors? of Trenowth fell the St. Stephens lands. Carminors? himself left two daughters married to Roscawen and Kerle and a further subdivision took place whereby Treveour, Trewethian and Talcarne and Goenvian fell to Rosiawen Trewithian(latin? words - Lvj Sh'll Verte'd) in the Rosiawen family (Viscount Falmouth) in 1838.1

At the Assize of 1301 the Jury of Powder presented that Robert le Taylor de Bodennek had withdrawn himself on account of the death of Rosemund de Trewythien whom he had lavished abducted together with 60s and three silver "firmaculae" [buckels?]. 1327 Lay Subsidies, Joh. Trewythian 9d. 1543, Alsyn Trewythyan 2 lbs 4d. The Medieval family of Trewithian of Trewthian became extinct circa 1450 leaving the Wolvedon family of Probus its heirs. Reginald Wolvedon was living at Trevear. In 1490 Treveer, Tregargus, Goynvean, Talcarn and Tewithian were among the lands of Robert Wolvedon of Go[ld?]en in Probus. In 1516 when the lands of John Wolvedon were partitioned between his sons in law John Tregean and Nicholas Carmenow? to the later fell Treveer, Tregargous, Trewithyan, Talcarne, Gonevyan. In 1559 Thomas Kevle? Esq (the heir of Carmenow) owned Trevere, Trevere Blowing House and Tregargos.1
