BONE Fanny


FANNY BONE TRUSCOTT MITCHELL
Fanny Bone was christened in St Stephen In Brannel the 6th of Februrary, 1808. She was the daughter of Thomas and Frances Blackmore Bone and according to the 1851 census was born in Coombe.


Fanny married George Truscott the 30th of June, 1833 in the Parish of St Mewan. George died at the age of 33 years. He was buried in St Stephen In Brannel Parish the 31st of March, 1840.

George and Fanny Bone Truscott were the parents of the following children:

1 - Hyrum (Henry?) Bone Truscott, born c1832 (1841 census), christened 6 Aug 1834 at St Stephen In Brannel.

2 - Alfred Truscott, born c1834 (1841 census), was christened the same day as Hyrum/Henry.

3 - George Truscott, born c1836 (1841 census), christened 11 June 1836, same parish.

4 -Sampson Truscott, born c1838 (1841 census), buried 4 February 1843 in St Stephens, the record states he was 2 years of age.

5 - Eliza Truscott, born c1840 (1841 census) in St Stephens.

Fanny was living in Coombe beside her father when the 1841 census was taken. She is listed as an agriculture laborer. In the 1851 census she is listed as a 'clay woman' and living in the same village. The only child living with her was Eliza.

Fanny Bone Truscott married John Mitchell the 26th of June, 1855 in the Parish of St Blazey. They are listed in the 1861 census of that parish as living 'on the road to St Austell'. John was a miner and was born in Redruth Parish the son of John. Their marriage record states they were a widower and widow.

John died sometime before the 1881 census. Fanny Mitchell is listed as living with her sister, Betsy Yelland at Turnpike Village in St Blazey Parish. The census states she was 72 years of age, a pauper and a widow.

Fanny Bone Truscott Mitchell died in the  Union Workhouse  at St Austell when she was 80 years old. She was buried in the Parish of St Blazey the 28th of December 1888.
