| The 1841 census lists him, along with brother Charles, at Court Mills, St. Stephens as living in the household of Samuel Lawrg. Also listed were their niece and nephew, Fanny and John Bunney. He may have married Ann Hockaday in Jacobstow parish September 23, 1852. Ann was born about 1829 at Ashwater, Devon, England the daughter of (unknown first name male Hockaday and his wife) Elizabeth, who was also born at Ashwater. In order to learn more, and if in fact this information pertains to our William, further research in the 1851 and 1861 census needs to be done. The 1871 and 1881 census lists him as being born in St. Stephens. In 1871 he is found in Camborne as a railway labourer. With him is wife Anne and children: 1 - Elizabeth J. born about 1853/54 in Poughill 2 - Robert H. born about 1854/55 in Bude 3 - Mary A. born about 1857 in Poughill 4 - John A.G. born about 1859 in Truro 5 - Sarah born about 1866 in Truro 6 - Grace B. born about 1868 in Camborne 7 - William T. born late 1870 or early 1871 in Camborne It is possible that Elizabeth J. Bone was married, or deceased, by the 1881 census, as she is not listed with the family. Nor is Robert H. or John A.G. who also may have died or married. In that census their father William is listed as a railway platelayer, living in Camborne (LDS #134561, PRO Reference RG11, piece 2336, folio 70, page 32). With them, besides the 4 remaining children was Williams mother-in-law Elizabeth Hockaday who was listed as an invalid. |

It is believed that the William Bone who is buried in the Tucking Mill Cemetery (Camborne parish) and died the 11th of November 1882, aged 65 years, is the same as the one above. Ann Bone, buried in the same cemetery, died the 30th of April 1884 at age 55 years is also believed to be the above cited Ann Hockaday Bone. ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Another possibility The following family was brought to my attention by Kevin Sartorelli of New Zealand. William Bone born about 1819, married Mary (Puckey?) about 1846. A Mary Puckey was christened in St Stephen In Brannel 20 June 1819 the daughter of John and Mary Puckey. This family is found at Gate, Turnpike Village, St Blazey in the 1851 census (HO107/1906/ED4b/10). William is listed as a miner born in St Stephens, wife Mary also born St Stephens, son Thomas and son William P. They are next found in the 1861 census at Turnpike Village, St Blazey (RG9/1546/Dist 17/folio 158/page 18). William is not listed in the household. Mary is listed as married, although by 1881 she is listed as a widow and was living with her sister. Tom is listed as a copper miner as well as William P. Another child, Fanny, appears in the 1861 census, along with a 'neice' Ann M. Pollamounter, age 11, born St Blazey.
