Earliest records of the lineage of BRAILSFORD date back to the Saxon Elfin or Aelfwine. Read more about these land holdings.

The original Bramley Seedling Apple Tree was grown from a pip/apple planted by Mary Ann Brailsford ca 1809-1813. It is still a healthy tree and is located in the private garden of Bramley Tree House at 75 Church St, Southwell. Bramley Tree Cottage is located next door at 73 Church St, which used to be part of the same property. A public house in the same street now bears the name The Bramley Apple. Read more.

Hofwyl-Broadfield is a Rice Plantation in Georgia which was first acquired in 1806 by William Brailsford. It is located on US 17, one mile east of I-95, six miles south of Darien and 10 miles north of Brunswick and is now a historic site with over 20,000 visitors a year.
