Famous Branthwaites

William Branthwaite, (died 1620) was an English scholar and translator.

According to Wikipedia William Branthwaite studied at Clare Hall, Cambridge and, in 1584 became a founding fellow of Emmanuel College under Laurence Chaderton. In 1607 he was appointed Master of Gonville and Caius. He also served in the "Second Cambridge Company" charged by James I of England with translating the Apocrypha for the King James Version of the Bible.
