ABRAM BRENDLE 14 Dec. 1833 Probated Nov. 1834

Brother Daniel Brendle five negroes: Tom, Gid, Jiney and there two children Judy and Amy also all their increase. Also the house and kitchen, furniture and my cattle, hogs, corn and meat, wheat, oats, two mares with their increases. Brother Daniel all my land (with one exception) that I may own at time of my death and may not have sold or contracted to sell. The exception is that he hold 40 acres of the Baker Tract lying between Huffman's line and the peice x sold to H Brewer, and then east to the school house. This is for William Brendle for William Brendle's benefit to occupy and enjoy as long as he shall live to be kept by Daniel Brendle, for him. I also give to William Brendle all my Sunday clothes. To Brother Daniel Brendle all my Plows and gear, axes, mattocks and hoes, with all my books that he may read as well as work. The balance of my property is to be sold, then my brother John Brendle is to have $300.00 out of sale. I give to my sisters $1.00 each. To brother Daniel Brendle all the balance of money from my estate. Court to appoint executer. Witness: John Johnson and John Davis.

WILLIAM PACK SR. Dec.27-1834 Prob. Feb. 1835

Wife Nancy Pack all my land and premises during her life or widowhood. After her decease land is to be divided between my sons William Pack and Reason Pack. Daughter POLLY BRENDLE, WIFE OF JOHN BRENDLE, my negro woman Susanora and her child Alvis, it being the youngest at present. Son William Pack my negro boy named Alexander and one negro girl named Hanna. Son Reason Pack my negro man Wilson. It is my will that my son Reason Pack live with my wife and carry on the farm for her. Grandson ABRAM BRENDLE (Son of Daniel Brendle and Sarah, my daughter Deceased) My negro woman named Gincy with all her increases as soon as said grandchild arrives at age 21. Also the said negro Gincy is to continue with my wife till end of Widowhood or death. If my Grandson dies before age 21 then the negroes willed to him are to be divided between my three children: William Pack, Reason Pack, and Polly Brendle wife of John Brendle. Also 1/2 of my still tubs are to be sold and as much of my personal property as will pay my just debts. My wagon is to stay on the premises during my wifes lifetime. At her death all personal property is to be sold and the money is to be equally divided between my three children: Polly Brendle wife of John Brendle, William Pack: And Reason Pack. Executers: sons William Pack and Reason Pack. Witness: Nehemiah Cooper and Benjamin Baxter.

DANIEL BRENDLE Oct. 30-1843 Probate Nov. 1843

To my wife Mason Brendle 207 acres of my land whereon I now live including the mansion house and outhouses together with my black boy Gideon so long as she remains my widow. After that the property is to be sold and equally divided among my children..Charles, John, William, Martha C., James H., and Mary E. I also give my wife Mason Brendle 500 bushels of corn, 50 bushels of wheat, all stock of hogs, her choice of my horses and mares, all the cattle and sheep and 3 beds and necessary furniture. I also give her my large Bible and house clock, corner cupboard, leaf table, during her widowhood and then to be sold and divided as above mentioned to be divided among children.

Will of JOSEPH BRINDLE SR. 17 Sept. Recorded Oct. Court 1863.

I JOSEPH BRENDLE being in sound mind but afflicted. I wish my just debts paid with my burial expenses. I appoint SMITH MCCARRY my mule and 12 months support for 1 man & mule if it is left when I die. I appoint SMITH MCCARRY my agent or guardian for my black boy Isom. I leave my land to be sold & household property, except I wish my daughter ELIZABETH SAIN to divide my wearing clothes among the boys. After paying the debts the balance to be divided as follows , I give my dau. NANCY'S heirs $5, also REBECCA TOWERY $5, MARY UPTON $5, SARAH HALL heirs $5, JOSEPH BRINDLE $5, JOHN BRINDLE $5, HENRY BRINDLE $5, and ELIZABETH SAINES to have the balance and divide as follows: ELIZABETH SAINES to have $3 for one of HENRY BRENDLE, I appoint SMITH MCCURRY my executor & J.H. JONES to cry my sale. Wit: JAMES SIMS , jurat., SUSANNA C. LONG, jurat. Signed: JOSEPH X BRINDLE.
