The will of Daniel Brindle dated 1 June 1843 names wife
Margaret, dau. Elizabeth, children William, Sally, John, Nancy, Anna, and
George. Friends John and Henry Brindle were named exec. (and if they can't, then
William Brindle and William Calloway). note: Ann Brindle married William
Calloway 20 June 1834. The 1860 census, Hotel township, Surry County, lists
George D. Brindle and Polly (Mary) Long with children: Henry A. Brindle, b.
1843; Fletcher Brindle b. 1848; Pleasant Brindle, b. 1850; Keziah Brindle
(female) b 1852; Silvester Brindle b. 1854; M. J. Brindle (female) b 1856. All
were born in NC. On 20 Oct 1868 John Fletcher Brindle (b 4/17/1841?), son of
George and Mary Brindle, married Lucinda "Cindy" York (b 6/10/1843). Their
children were: Senie Brindle who married John Wesley Hardy, Lula Brindle who
married Gilmer Key, Piney Brindle who married Edward Childress, Sara Brindle who
married Van Turner, Jasper Alexander Brindle (11/18/1873-9/16/1957) who married
Nancy Adeline "Linie" White (dau. of Jane White), Fountain Brindle who married
Mildred White, Rufus Brindle who married Ada White (these two girls were
sisters, daus. of Thomas and Mary "Polly" White), and Eugene Brindle who married
Ida (?). Jasper Alexander Brindle married 1st Nancy Adeline White 2 Aug 1896.
Their children were (a) Pheba A. Brindle (6/2/1898-5/29/1972) who married
Crawley Cave, (b) Ida L. Brindle (11/8/1899-11/20/1989) who married Henderson
Bledsoe, (c) William Rufus Brindle (5/14/1901-9/21/1972) who married Ethel
Haynes (dau of James Tyson Haynes and Julina Draughn), (d) Bessie M. Brindle (b
8/17/1904) who married Floyd Johnson, (e) Wesley Harvey Brindle
(8/3/1906-1/21/1967) who married Lillie Snow, (f) Brady Ernest Brindle (b
8/12/1908) who married Cassie Jones, (g) Foley Brindle (b 4/10/1910 who married
1st Joanie White and m 2nd Ola Mae Callahan (h) Charlie W. Brindle (b 5/12/1912)
who married Evie Norman (dau of Harrison Norman), (i) Jasper Elmer Brindle (b
4/12/1914) who married Stella Etta Cave (dau of Benjamin F. Cave and Lucy
Matilda Snow, (j) Crawley Monroe Brindle (9/4/1918-8/22/1972 who married Ruby
Fowler, and (k) Pearl Brindle (b 3/2/1920) who married Merlin Riggs. Nancy
Adeline died in 1931 and Jasper Alexander married 2nd Mary Lou Riggs Collins
(9/1/1876-4/8/1962) My husband, Jasper Benjamin Brindle, is son of Jasper Elmer
Brindle and Stella Etta Cave.
