I went to your Bridges site today, and realized that I have recently
found information which concerns the Bridges Family line. You may
already have this, but I didn't find it on the site.
Mercer County Kentucky Records Volume II
p. 99 Hall Pierson to Elizabeth Bridges, with Martin Bottom as surety,
August 13, 1805. Consent of John Bridges for his daughter 15 August
1805. witnessed by Jacob Bottom and Martin Bottom.
p. 101 Jacob Bottom to Polly Bridges, with Hall Pierson as surety, May
15, 1805. Consent of John Bridges for his daughter, same date, witnessed by
Martin Bottom and Hall Pierson.
p. 187 William Perrigo to Elizabeth Pearson, with John L. Bridges as
surety, October 4, 1819.
p . 289 Nathan Stone to Eliza W. Peerson, with William Perrigo as
surety, January 17, 1831. William Perrigo certified that his
stepdaughter was of age.
The will of Sherwood Peerson in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, lists
Eliza Peirson as his granddaughter. I assume that the above Eliza, is the same.
I apologize for not having full bibliographical information for the above source.
I will need to go back to the library to check it. Obviously the records are transcriptions.
According to the Peerson Bible at the Library of Virginia Digital
Library, Hall Peerson died in Kentucky in December of 1807. Apparently
his brother, Joseph, died the same day.
I enjoyed the website and even remembered to sign the guestbook this time!

3. Elizabeth L. Pearson, born 1787 in Virginia. She was a daughter of John BRIDGES and Mary LIGON.

"Polly" Pherigo is the wife of John Hall, Jr. During the same year, in the same county, a John Hall took out a marriage license to marry one "Mary Woods". There is no clear proof yet that either of them is the "Mary" noted as his wife in the 1860 and 1870 census for Madison Twp, Jefferson Co IN.
NOTE: Was this John HALL in any way related to Caleb HALL, the 2nd husband of Martha (Ligon) Davis, whose dau NANCY married William BRIDGES who was the brother of Elizabeth (BRIDGES) Pearson?

I have John Hall born 1812 in Indiana & married to Mary PHERIGO born 1812 in Kentucky.
They were married October 30, 1832, in
Madsion, Jefferson County, Indiana
Could she be Polly?

My earliest known Pherigo ancestor is John, 1776 - 1846, who m. Martha Adams.. Children: George, Elsy Sutin, Lyda, Polly, Jacob Carter, Eliza, William, John, Elizabeth Ann, and Martin Duncan Pherigo.
These children were born between 1806 and 1823.
Martin D. Pherigo b.1826 in KY; d.1892 in MO. m. Sara Elizabeth Bishop 1844-1911.
Their children were Tempy Martha Elizabeth, Louisa Melvina, Sarah Elzora, George Edward, and Union Josephine,who m. William Glasgow Wilson. These children were born bet. 1861 and 1873.
Who were John's family? Where from? Martin D.'s? Any information on any of the above listed persons would be appreciated.
