This Indenture made this Twelfth day of June A. D. 1883 between Frederick E. Scheel Master in Chancery of St. Clair County in the State of Illinois party of the first part and Charles Morlock of St. Clair County, Illinois party of the second part. Witnesseth Whereas at the September Term A.D. 1882 of the Circuit Court within and for the County of St. Clair and State of Illinois in a certain suit there pending therein on the Chancery side there of wherein Bertha Burgard, Conrad Burgard, Charles Morlock, Louis Schultz, and August C. Schultz were Complaints and Christina Morlock, Louis Morlock, Gustav Morlock, Frederick Morlock, Anna Binz, Charles Binz, Jaugaus Emma, and Frank Ruschel were Defendants said suit being for Partition and Dower the said Court did make a decree directing among other things that the undersigned after having given certain notice therein expired should sell the land hereinafter described at public auction the premises upon terms set forth in said decree And whereas having first given notice required by said decree to be given and in the manner therein specified I Frederick E. Scheel Master in Chancery of said County did on the 26th day of January A. D. 1883 offer for sale the land herein after described as the premises at public auction And whereas Charles Morlock bid for said premises the sum of four hundred dollars which was the highest and best bid therefore and the said premises were sold for that price Now therefore in consideration of the premises and the said sale having been confirmed by said Court and said Charles Morlock having complied with the terms of said sale as set forth in said decree I the undersigned Master in Chancery for St. Clair County acting in my official capacity do hereby sell and convey to the said Charles Morlock the land so sold to him as foresaid to wit the North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section twenty four (24) Township One (1) South range seven (7) West in St. Clair County state of Illinois To have and to hold the said land unto the said Charles Morlock his heirs and assigns forever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in my official capacity this twelfth day of June A. D. 1883
