Ervin George Brown

Ervin G Brown was born in 1933, the youngest of 3 children to Ervin McColl Brown and Viola Pierce. At the age of 12, Ervin's father, Ervin Sr. died tragically in a fishing accident on Lake Wisconsin. Ervin and his sisters, Bette and Caroline were raised by their mother, with Ervin working from age 13 to help support the family. Ervin never graduated high school, instead working in the moving business and eventually at Gibbs Manufacturing, a defense plant as a tool and die maker. Ervin, much like his father and ancestors, was and is a huge sportsman, enjoying all forms of hunting and fishing. Ervin married Elaine Amble in 1952, and fathered 3 children, Krystine Marie, Linda Kay and Matthew Ervin. Around the age 38, Ervin started his own business, excavating, and was very successful. Today Ervin and Elaine are retired and spend winters in Tucson, fishing, golfing and relaxing.
