Cynthia H. Robison was the daughter of Robert Robison II and Margaret Henderson. 

 

She is named as his wife's "Aunt" in David S. Hutchison's LWT ...   David S. Hutchison is mentioned in John Knox's LWT.  David was the husband of John and Mary's niece, Dorcas Elizabeth Alexander, daughter of Alexander Gillespie and Elizabeth Robison, Mary's younger sister. 

 

Children of Robert Robison (II) and Margaret Henderson are:

 

Archibald Robison who m. Abigail Barnett

Elizabeth Robison (III) who m. (1) Alexander Gillespie, and (2) Elias Alexander

Polly B. Robison who m. John Knox

1) Elizabeth's heirs were: Joseph Robison Gillespie, son by Alexander Gillespie; Dorcas Elizabeth Alexander, daughter by Elias Alexander.  

 

2)* Elizabeth is shown as "decd", but Mary isn't shown as "decd" in the Ferguson transcription -- and is clearly alive in subsequent transactions. The actual court document shows decd marked through on the first page, and then not used on subsequent pages.  This was a clerical error.

 

3) Elizabeth (Robison-Gillespie) was the sister of Archibald Robison, Mary B. (Robison) Knox, Cynthia H. Robison, & Cairns Henderson Robison -- all children of Robert Robison II & Margaret Henderson ]

Considering the uncertainty of my earthly esistence, I request that my exr remove the personal property from the place where I now reside to the plantation allotted to me in the division of my father's estate, and at that place sell all my personal property at public auction.  From the proceeds my just debts and funeral expenses are to be paid, and if there is any residue I give it to MY SISTER CYNTHIA ROBISON; if the proceeds are not enough to pay my debts, together with the collection of a note for $30 owed to me, then my exr may sell my real estate adj A[RCHIBALD] ROBISON, J. P. HENDERSON, and Mrs. McCLURE.  The remainder from the sale of the sd land or the land itself I will to my sister Cynthia.  The interest I have in the JAMES ROBISON tract adj. Wallace L. Stewart and others I give to my STEP-DAU HETTY ALEXANDER.  My interest in the property of my wife M. A. Robison [decd?] at the time of our marriage I also give to Hetty.

Black, James P. Henderson, and Cynthia Robison being a part of a tract formerly owned by K. H. [Kearns/Carnes Henderson Robison], also two horses, three cattle, 10 hogs, his current crop of cotton, hay, oats, & wheat growing on the land of M.[Monroe?] Gillespie, and his crop on the Fulwood place where the sd Smith then resided.  Smith also transferred to Sloan all his household & kitchen furniture not bound to Ephraim Brevard.  Smith was indebted to Henry A. Sloan in the sum of $69, to Dr. S. H. Johnston of Lincoln Co. for about $56, to John A. Young for about $25, to Mrs. Fulwood for about $17, to Henderson & Smith for about $27, to Rufus Reed with John D. Graham as security for about $19, to Davidson &  Reed for about $45, to D. Parks for about $45, to Wm. L. Davidson with Jos. Potts as security for about $12, to Leroy Springs for about $85, to Springs & Withers [?] about $15, and to Jos. Patterson for about $12.  If Smith paid these debts by 25 Dec 1849 this deed was to be void.

Hutchison.  I also will to my wife, during her lifetime, my sales Hal, Edger, Cinda, and Adaline, and at a her death they are to be divided equally between my son Joseph and my dau Mary;  Joseph is also to have the slave Hannah, and Mary the slave Jane.  All the remainder of my estate is for the use of my wife during her lifetime, and at her death it is to be divided equally between my two children.  My wifes' aunt Cynthia H. Robison is to be supported from my estate during her lifetime.
