NOTE: Records prior to 1830 are written in GERMAN. Later records are very difficult, and in many cases impossible, to read. NONE of these record books are indexed by surname.
The Henry Reeves Translation of 1800-1853 records, which was self-published by David Knootz, is not available for sale. There is a copy at the Greensboro Public Library, Greensboro, NC.
FRIEDENS CHURCH RECORD HISTORY publications are available for purchase at the Church Office. These are 8 1/2" x 14" spiral bound copies of original, handwritten, church records which were microfilmed by the NC Archives in 1978. Prices vary based on the number of pages. The church generously makes these available for only the cost of reproduction:

The three volumes above primarily contain records of BIRTH, BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION, and COMMUNION. There are also a few business reports, and notations of death (no dates). No marriage records are documented.
In addition to these three History Books, a CEMETERY LISTING is available for $10.00. This softbound book contains an alphabetically listing and a natural order listing. Images from the alphabetical listing are available on-line.
The above publications may be picked up at the church office. The office keeps an inventory, but it's a good idea to call ahead before visiting to make sure copies are available. The Church Office is open Tuesday-Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. Phone: (336) 449-7421.
