More about Daniel Boon and Mariah Huffheins
Marriage of Daniel Boon and Mariah Huffheins
Oct 25, 1855

Abstract of Marriage Record:

State of North Carolina, Alamance County: I hereby certify that I Solemnized the rite of Matrimony between Daniel Boon and Mariah Huffheins on this the 25th day of Oct 1855.

Joel Boon, JP

I have a copy of the microfilm record; I do not have an exact book and page reference where this marriage was recorded. What I do have is a copy of the original record from microfilm. The record was shared with me by another individual researching this Boon family. There is a notation that the marriage was filmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah at Raleigh, North Carolina from material entitled Alamance Co. North Carolina Certificates of Marriage 1854-1868, date stamped Oct. 13, 1941.

More about the couple:

Daniel was the son of David M. Boon and his wife, Mary Huffman...proven by census records. This couple is found in the 1880 enumeration of Sebastian Co., Arkansas. Both died there ca. 1900-1910. Descendants remain in that location. The family has not been located in 1870, a link needed to prove the complete lineage to Johanne Baltzer Boon. The older children of Daniel and Mariah were born NC.

Any help in locating the 1870 census enumeration or Daniel and Mariah would be appreciated.
