Brutton Family / in the U.S.

PROJECT:   Bruttons in the United States

OK, before we begin, an explanation: This section is not a grand exclamation of truth; nor does it profess to know everything. It is SIMPLY a TOOL. All data (correct, incorrect, oral history, exaggerations, etc.) will be up here - for all to see. As facts are PROVEN (true or false), they will be labeled as such and accompanied by evidence, i.e. sources/documents, etc. Simple.

The only drawback? "... but Grandma told us that [ fill in the blank ]." Grandma's memory may be fuzzy; someone could have told her a fib (in good conscience); and worse, a lie was handed down through the generations. Yes, it happens. If you want to believe that your great-great grandfather was King of [pick a country] and produced 40 children - all of whom were famous, weathy, and perfect people (as well as all their heirs)... then we suggest that you find a nice solitaire program and have a great day.

IF, on the other hand, you want the TRUTH...

... let's get ready to RUMBLE!

The first project: Charles Henry Brutton b. about 1836 England; died 1902 Minnesota, U.S.
