I see I didn't put the precise dates in for the Adam Hall I have.
From the Marshfield Vital Records: (^ for superscript)
Adam Hall y^e Son of Adam Hall Ju^r & Keziah His wife
was Born January y^e 27^th. 1757 Thursday Entries for
other children of Adam and Keziah say that Mercy, b. 7 Sep
1759 Susanna, b. 8 Nov 1761 Kezia, b. 30 Dec 1764
Luke b. 20 Apr 1767 Samuel, b. 3 Aug 1770
William, b. 28 Aug 1774 I didn't see any other references
to Adam Hall in the vital records, in particular, Jesse is not
mentioned. Maybe his birth wasn't recorded, or maybe he was
born somewhere else. Anyway, it's clear that Adam and
Keziah were in Marshfield until at least 1774. I agree that
it's very unlikely that these Halls of MA and NC are the same.
I looked at the surnames of relatives you listed and noted
Cook and Freeman, other names of Plymouth County, MA, but as
they're such common names, nothing can be made out of that.
I don't know much about the Hall family of Marshfield.
According to Richards, who wrote a history of the town, the first
"Adam Hall, of transatlantic birth. Came to Marshfield early
in the 18th century," which makes him a late comer, so there
are few Halls compared to other families in that area.
