1. ANNA LAURIE2 CARPENTER (JAMES ANDERSON1) was born June 01, 1868 in Brazil, Clay County, Ind., and died July 29, 1921. She married OTTO SCHATT. He was born January 30, 1868, and died May 19, 1947.
Notes for ANNA LAURIE CARPENTER:
Name might have been Annie Laurie or Anna Laurie, I have records both ways. She was a sister
of Amos Pitts Carpenter, approximately two years older than Amos.

Notes for OTTO SCHATT:
According to Don Clendenin, the 1920 census shows Otto occupation as Brewmeister. I had to
ask what that is. It is one who makes beer. It is an old and respected German profession.
