Colorado Sky

From the highest mountain meadows
To the valleys in the Sun,
From the snow capped peaks, majestic
Where the deer and foxes run,
From the mountain streams, clear flowing
To the glowing stars on high,
Let us live in awe and wonder
'Neath the Colorado Sky.

Let us live our lives in splendor
Where the tender blossoms bloom,
Where the Columbines surrender
To the slender mountain plume,
Where the lily in the valley
and the frilly petals sigh,
And together in the breezes
Greet the Colorado Sky
.

From the streams that gush unknowing
Down the glowing mountain side,
From the Aspens ever blowing
Flowing gently as the tide,
From the night birds faintly calling
To the saintly Cougar's cry,
Let us live our lives together
'Neath the Colorado Sky.

Like the clouds that float, eternal
Shall we dwell as man and wife,
And forever walk together
Down the avenue of life.
Then when earthly toil has ended
We will ask the Lord on high,
Just to let us make our heaven
'Neath the Colorado sky.
