MITTIE MCCLARAN
Steak fries are Mittie's specialty, especially on Sunday morning when she should be in church. Mittie never studies when she could be dancing. She would like to get a job in a Paris fashion revue.
Bitter Truth: She'll never want the credit due her by her husband--she'll want the cash. |
 |
MARVIN ZOLLER
Marvin is an all-around man. In the first place he won a wrestling medal in his division in the camp at Fort Sill last summer. In the second place he is a chemist of some note, in these parts at least. And in the third place he drives a
Ford whoopie. But not least of all is the fact that "Mike" enhances his natural beauty by a fund of irrepressible Irish humor. |
 |
VIRGINIA HUGHES
Virginia is a blonde. She is reserved. She talks little. And yet, Virginia's alluring eyes are enough to take even Rudolph Valentino for a tumble. But honestly, now, Virginia is quite business-like at heart and intends to go to Stephens
College next year.
Bitter Truth: She polishes her nose so much that others use it as a mirror. |
 |
GUSTAVE BRANDBORG
Gus has a voice which reminds you of Mephistopheles--we're not swearing, that's an opera. He thinks he likes nature and he keeps whole flocks of notes in a state of perfect health. Fiddle and Gus aid the orchestra and demoralize the
neighbors. When oral themes are to be given, Gus can talk on five seconds' notice.
Bitter Truth: The girls all love him--for his voice. |
 |
DOMINGO ACOSTA
Booster Club.
Domingo intends to travel to the ends of the earth some day, but she will never go where she won't have an opportunity to trip the light fantastic frequently. Many are the cops who have chased her, only to admit themselves defeated and
to give up after the first five miles. |
 |
BENNETT BEISTLE
After varied experiences with different high schools, Bennett tried T. H. S. last year, and was so well satisfied he returned. It can't be decided whether he makes the biggest hit playing the saxophone or talking to the girls.
"Luke" is as well qualified as any to compose a song entitled "Waiting at the Locker."
Bitter Truth: He'll snore sometimes in assembly. |
 |
HAROLD CAMPBELL
Picture Harold's curly black hair, combined with wonderful dancing ability, a build like a Packard Straight-Eight, and you have the true "drug store cowboy" of the school. Harold managed to sing his way to fame.
Bitter Truth: His picture is on his shelf |
 |
MIRIAM TURK
Wavy raven hair and dark eyes are Miriam's charms. She dances, swims, and particularly enjoys horseback riding. Contrary to general rule Miriam can drive her Jordan without a burning desire to "step on it." Spanish seems to be
her favorite study.
Bitter Truth: Miriam doesn't want to die young--she plays safe with chemistry. |
 |
LOUIS FERGUSON
T-Club.
Louis is a little of "everything." He likes mechanics, music, and fast cars. Day-dreaming is his constant fad. It brings to his floating thoughts visions of a fast aeroplane in which he can hop over to California [wonder why]
after dinner each day.
Bitter Truth: He's at home quite often. |
 |
CAROL CODY
Carol is one of the eternal triangle, and is always looking for her better half. You think she is modest and sweet? Yes, she's that and a lot more. Carol is full o' pep like the peppermint kind.
Bitter Truth: She likes 'em with glasses on. |
 |
MORGAN RANSDALL
Distinctive and famous, out of the gobs and gobs of seniors graduating this year, Morgan is the one gob who saw actual service aboard a submarine. For twenty-three months he showed the Hohenzollern that a Yankee was not to be fooled
with.
Bitter Truth: We bet none of his absences are unexcused from the office. |
 |
FRANKE MOORE
Girl Reserves.
Many have again been disillusioned in a name when the roll was called to hear Frankie answer in a small, "young girlish" voice. She has made many tired teachers' dreams come true by listening, thinking and consequently gaining
more from class work than the more talkative students.
Bitter Truth: Her eyes express what her words do not. |
 |
HAZEL FROST
Girl Reserves.
Hazel came from Cassville, Missouri, and has blue eyes and pearly teeth. She has been here almost one year and intends to go to Tulsa Business College next year. Kodaking, dancing and music are her hobbies. She is one little bit of
happiness who is good-natured all the time.
Bitter Truth: She put "Misery" in Missouri. |
 |
FRANKIE WOODSON
Frankie's heart is as big as her hat and every one who knows her realizes this attribute. Few girls can surpass her on the basketball court. Frankie is also very fond of ukuleles but she isn't able to make them talk as she would like.
Bitter Truth: Every word she has said can be found in the dictionary. |
