The ship "Louise" departed Bremen on September 8, 1846 and arrived in the Port of Galveston on November 2, 1846. On November 9, 1846 they arrived at the Port of Indianola.  Gottfried and Gottlieb were twin brothers.  All of the family except Daniel and Mortiz went on to Fredericksburg to settle.  Daniel and Mortiz settled in Bastrop County.  Later on Mortiz would settle in Fredericksburg with his new wife, Augusta Adams.  Daniel and Mortiz became citizens of the United States in 1851 in Bastrop County.  Mortiz Lehmann's two sons, Herman and Willie, were captured by Indians in 1870 near their home in Fredericksburg.
