CORRECTIONS:

Llewelyn ap Gruffudd, Prince of Wales, who married Eleanor de Montfort only had one child: Gwenllian, who lived out her life at Sempringham. This "Princess Catherine" never existed, or if she did she had to have been illegitimate for the following reasons:

(1) Eleanor de Montfort died in childbirth with Gwenllian. Llewelyn never remarried. Therefore, Catherine could not have been their child.

(2) The entire reason Gwenllian ended up at Sempringham was because Edward I "Longshanks" could not allow her to marry and have descendants, she being the last scion of the native Welsh princes. He kept her confined to a nunnery & ignorant of her ancestry her entire life. Any sister, probably even an illegitimate one, would have suffered a similar fate. Longshanks would never have allowed her to marry and have children who might challenge his son's title of "Prince of Wales". 

The genealogies that show "Princess Catherine" are generally believed to be fabrications generated by Tudor heralds.

He served as Deputy of Ireland for Elizabeth I and in connection with his tenure of that office (not his birth) he was accused of high treason but died in the Tower before he could be convicted (in fact Elizabeth may well have been preparing to pardon him at the time of his death, and later restored his son to his estates).
