Andrew Kent writes: - These are the infant children of Jesse Baskett, whose Guardian John Johnson was appointed 1840. They inherited land from their father around Wildwood Station, about five miles from Palmyra, Jesse Baskett’s last home was near the present Wildwood. Two of these children, John P and Susan Sarah never married. I knew them well. In late life, they lived near Beulah Church.

These were the children of Jesse Baskett and first wife, Sarah Kent, the only sister of our ancestor William Kent who married Sarah Parrish. Jesse Baskett was a man of means for that day and time, his personal property being nearly $9000.00, not including his building and real estate.

Sarah Kent married A Jesse Baskett in 1808. She was his first wife and died 1821. He must have married to have infant children when he died about 1843
