October 27, 1840 to this sum for a tract of land mentioned in the will of Robert Kent , SR sometime called the Lilly Tract. $500.00 Int. to date - 360.00 = $860.00

July 1857, Robert Kent, Jr., posted on the front door of the Court House at Palmyra, Va. All vouchers for settlement of the Estate where they remained for ten (10) days.

Their home was on part of Robert’s father’s place. They are buried in the old Kent family Cemetery a little to the left of the old home, near Kent Store.

In late life, Robert C. Kent weighted 300 pounds and rode around in a sulky.
