The Family of Jacob and Elizabeth
Siverd
Jacob was born in either Berks or Lancaster County in Pennsylvania about 1805. His wife Elizabeth
was also born in the same area about 1810, she died January 1874 in
Missouri. I believe he spent his life in the Strasburg and Paradise areas in
Lancaster County. Jacob and Elizabeth had five sons, all of which
served in the Civil War. Their names were John (my ancestor), William, Jacob,
Eli, Hugh and Samuel. It is possible they may have also had a daughter
Elizabeth, but this can not be proven at this time.
Jacob abandoned his wife and younger sons in 1851 and did not support them
from that time on.
