Jeansville is another of the several coal patch towns in northwestern Carbon County. The coal mining companies own nearly all the property; the few surnames on the list are probably company bosses or merchandisers.
Like Audenried, Jeansville straddles the Carbon Co. border, but in this case, most of the village actually lies in Luzerne County.
