1875
Located along the northern border of Carbon Co., Lausanne Twp. was once a vast area, but is now the smallest township in the county. Erected in 1808, the boroughs of Weatherly and Penn Haven, as well as the townships of Packer, Banks, Lehigh and part of Mauch Chunk were carved from it over the next 70 years. Today it is mainly rural, with some coal operations along its northern edge bordering Luzerne Co. Buck Mountain is the only village, a more detailed map of that place appears elsewhere.
