Farr

Danil Farr and wife Louisiana Collier Farr are my paternal great great grandparents. Danil was the son of Jeremiah Farr and probable wife Nancy Strickland. Danil (Daniel), Jeremiah and their wives were born in Georgia but eventually moved to Alabama. Jeremiah and family made their home in Coweta County, Georgia and Chambers County, Alabama. Danil (Daniel) and family were in Chambers County, Alabama as well as Randolph County, Alabama where they are buried. I am a descendant through Danil's daughter Aldora (Dodie) Farr who married Charlie Taylor Foster.

Danil Farr was a veteran of the Civil War. He was a member of Company C, 14th Battalion Georgia Light Artillery. (Montgomery's Battalion)

In 1827 a Jeremiah Farr married Nancy Strickland in Jasper County, Georgia. So far all infornation indicates that this was Jeremiah, the father of Danil Farr.

Jeremiah Farr is listed as a head of household in the 1830 Coweta County, Georgia Census.

In 1838 a Mr. Jeremiah Farr received land from the Cherokee Land Lottery. His residence was listed as Coweta Co unty, Georgia
