Hello, and thanks for stopping in! This website is dedicated to the pursuit of CARMACK genealogical research. This site is primarily focused on the CARMACK DNA Project, Surname Mailing List, Message Query Boards, and Search assistance. I have included a link to my data which resides on the Family Tree Maker site.
The following is a summary of the CARMACK DNA Project, Surname Mailing List, Message Query Boards, and Search assistance. More detailed information on these can be found by clicking on the link in the left-hand column of this page.
DNA ProjectY-DNA testing has recently come onto the genealogy scene. Y-DNA is passed from father to son only, through the generations, with minimal changes. This signature can be used to prove or disprove lineage and, when compared to the DNA signature of a �cousin�, to possibly trace back to a Most Recent Common Ancestor.
The objective of the Carmack DNA Project is to match up individuals or families who share a common male ancestor of the CARMACK surname.

It's no secret or surprise that the biggest strength of the Internet is people helping other people. For the CARMACK surname and its variants, there is one mailing list that I know of:

You can get basic info about it at RootsWeb, but to subscribe, just send an email to [email protected] (or, if you prefer the digest version, [email protected]) with the word "subscribe" in the body of the message. - RootsWeb and Ancestry.com have consolidated their GenConnect message boards with Ancestry's FamilyHistory.com message boards. Messages can be classified by type, which include: Bible, Biography, Birth, Cemetery, Census, Death, Deed, Immigration, Lookup, Marriage, Military, Obituary, Pension, Queries, and Will.
