Will of Daniel Swiggett,

In the name of God Amen I Daniel Swiggett of Queen Anne's County in the State of Maryland and being sick and weak in body but of sound memory, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this (world) when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following. Item, I give and devise unto Peter C. Swiggett all my (right?) to the plantation whereon he now resides, to him and his heirs and assigns in fee simple, by him the said Peter C. Swiggett paying unto my nease (niece) Mary Elizabeth Swiggett, daughter of Griffen Luis Swiggett, the sum of sixteen dollars a year during her natural life. Item, It is my wish that my Executor will sell all my other lands which I may possess and apply the money to pay my debts which I may be __?__ and balance of the money if there should be any I give and bequeath unto Peter C. Swiggett. Item, I give and bequeath unto Peter C. Swiggett all the moneys which my unkel (uncle) Johnson Swiggett may be owing of me and also all my personal property which I may possess be it of what nature it may be. And last I do hereby constitute and appoint Peter C. Swiggett to be sole Executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former will by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.
