In the name of God amen I
David Pennewell of Northwest Fork Hundred, Sussex County
and State of Delaware Considering the uncertainty of human life and being
of Sound and Disposing mind and memory do ordain this Writing to be my
Last Will and testament in manner and following To Wit
3rd I give and bequeath to my two Children Named Semion Pennewell and Lydia Elisabeth Pennewell all the Lands Whare I now live up to the Land I Purchased of William Carlisle to them and their heirs and assigns for Ever, But in Case they Boath should Die before they arive to Lawfull age then my will is that the Land be sold and the money Equally divided amongst my Grand Children. 4th I give and bequeath to my three Grand Children Named David P. Sorden and Mary Ann Sorden Children of John Sorden and to David Owens Elliott Son of John Elliott all the money that John Sorden is Due me Entered at George Town in in the Supreme Cort one Judgment Bond, principle is thirty one hundred and fifty Dollars and one Judgment Note Entered in the same Cort, all to be Equally divided amongst my three grand children above named. 5th my will and Desire is that my Executor shall sell all my Lands in Warsister (Worcester) County State of Maryland below Snow hill and all the Money ariseing from the Sale of Said Land to be equally Divided between my three Children Named Albert G. Pennewell and Semion Pennewell & Lydia Elisabeth Pennewell, but if they all Should Die before they arive to Lawfull age then my Will is the money ariseing from said Sale of Land to be Equally Divided amongst my Grand Children. 6th I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Named Mary Jane Pennewell Daughter of David Pennewell Now Dec'd the Sum of thirty five Dollars to be Paid by my Executors. 7th I give and bequeath to my three Children Named Albert G. Pennewell Semion Pennewell and Lydia Elisabeth Pennewell all my Land I Purchased of the heirs of Nathaniel Morriss and Louder Layton in tenure of Samuel Hopkins and all my Land I Purchased of Jesse Eckels to them and their heirs and assigns for Ever but if they all Should Die before they arive to Lawfull age then my Will is the Land to be sold and the money Equally Divided amongst my Grand Children. 8th It is my Will and Desire that after all my Just Debts are Paid together with the Legacys Devised in my Will, the Balance or Residue of my Personal Estate Shall bee Equally Divided Between my Beloved Wife Nancy Pennewell and my three Children to Wit Albert G. Pennewell Semion Pennewell Lydia Elisabeth Pennewell Share and Share a Like. 9th I Do hereby nominate my Son Robert O. Pennewell to be my Executor of this my Last Will and testament and I hereby Disannull Revoke and Disallow all and Every other former testament Legacys bequeath and Executors by me in any Wise before Named Willed and bequeathed, Ratifying this and No other to be my Last Will and testament, In Witness Whare of I have here unto Set my hand and Seal this Seventeenth Day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty one.
