The Blodgett Family

From what I understand, the Blodgett surname goes back to Canada, where Ira Blodgett was born in about 1840. He married an Annie and they had at least one child, a son named Cornelius Ira Blodgett. Cornelius was born about 1860 in or near Flint, Michigan. He married Susanna Hooley sometime after the 1880 census. Susanna was born about 1866 in LaGrange, Indiana. Cornelius and Susanna had at least 2 children:

1. Mary E. Blodgett, b. January 25, 1890 in Sherman County, Nebraska; d. September 4, 1944 in Lexington, Nebraska. Married William Thomas Carr about 1904.

2. Carrie Mabel Blodgett, b. January 4, 1891. She married Warren Perry.
