LUGWARDINE, a Parish in the Hundred of Radlow, is delightfully situated on the Banks of the Lug, two-and-three-quarter miles E. by N. from Hereford The scenery in the neighbourhood is very picturesque, and the Parish abounds with many genteel residences and villas. Edward Griffiths, Esq., is Lord of the Manor. The Parish in 1851 contained 670 inhabitants.The Church, dedicated to St. Peter, is an ancient building, and has a tower, with a clock and five bells. The interior is nearly fitted-up, and has four painted windows, beautifully executed, and contains several monuments and slabs of ancient and modern dates; there is also a neat organ.
