STOKE PRIOR, rather an extended Parish, is situated about twelve miles from Hereford, and three from Leominster. The Church is a very antiquated piece of building; it has a square tower, with low wood spire, and is in a very dilapidated state. The Rev. Benjamin Wright, M. A., Perpetual Curate; Messrs. Wm. Protheroe and Henry Bailey, Churchwardens; Mr. Humphrey Bent, Clerk and Sexton. Service - 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., mornings and afternoons alternatively.There is a small National School, and School House, recently erected. Average number of scholars, 30. Mr. John Smith, Master.
